He was my best friend, and he always brought me out on rides. I always loved these rides.

“But all the girls there were so flashy, they dressed like they were going to a strip club. After that, I think I’d never fall in love,” he sighed as he ran his fingers through his messed up hair.
I laughed quietly, but also hoping that he was joking.

I’ve tried to be normal around him, but I don’t think it ever crossed his mind that I’d love him more than just my best friend.

I knew everything about him, from his family to his favorite things, but there’s only one thing that I’d lie to people about. The fact that I loved him.
